CBD and Burnt Wounds

As people are discovering the medicinal properties of CBD, people are starting to ask whether CBD can heal burns on the skin or not? The answer is yes and here is why CBD can help manage burnt skin tissues and help you heal faster.

CBD has pain relieving, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that will help ease the pain and cause less irritations on your skin while allowing the wound to heal.

Burns are damaged tissues from heat, overexposure to the sun or radiation or exposure to chemical or electrical contact.  There are three types of burn:  first-degree burns are the least severe type of burn as only the top layer is affected. Treatment can be made by applying wet or damp cloth to the affected area.  Second-degree burns occur when the top two levels of the skin are affected.  Soak the wounded area with water and make sure that there are no blisters.  Third-degree is the most severe as it reaches every level of the skin.  Medical attention is required and could be life threatening if left untreated.

CBD  interacts with the receptors of the endocannabinoid system (ECS).  ECS is responsible for cell growth, skin rejuvenation, hormone balance, learning and memory, emotions, sleep, pain control, inflammatory and immune system.  Adding CBD will have a direct impact on anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial and analgesic which will speed recovery in healing skin burns.
