Is It Normal To Have an Allergic Reaction To CBD?

Is It Normal To Have an Allergic Reaction To CBD?

Probably, yes. Well there are chances that someone will take CBD whether as CBD oil, topicals, capsules, tea or edible and have an allergic response to it. This is not a red flag alert! There are people that are bound to be allergic to allergens while the rest may not have any problem with the product at all. According to the Mayo Clinic, Allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance — such as pollen, bee venom or pet dander — or a food that doesn't cause a reaction in most people. There are people that are allergic to seafood, nuts, honey, bee stings, certain fragrances, medication and pretty much anything you can think of.

People have reported experiencing an allergic reaction from using CBD. But in reality it's not CBD that is the culprit but other ingredients that may cause allergic reactions in some people.

Ingredients In CBD That May Cause Allergic Reaction:

Terpenes. Terpenes are naturally occurring chemical compounds that are responsible for aroma, flavors and colors in plantations or animals. Terpenes can be found in Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum CBD, but not in CBD Isolate.

Cannabinoids. There are hundreds of chemical compounds or cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Products made from broad spectrum and full spectrum CBD contain these cannabinoids like CBG, CBN and THC.

Ingredients added to the CBD product. Botanicals and additional flavoring added to CBD products to enhance taste and scent. Ingredients added can be featured in CBD isolates too.

MCT Oil or other carrier oil. MCT oil or carrier substances like coconut and palm oil may be used as carriers mixed with CBD. Carrier oil helps the body to absorb and process CBD more effectively. MCT oil has been the go to choice for high quality CBD oil.

Interactions Between CBD and cannabinoids with other medications. CBD and other cannabinoids can interact and with medications that you have to take. This could lead to undesirable effects for your body and interfere with the performance of the medication. Always consult with your doctor before starting to use CBD.

Potential Allergic Reaction To CBD:

● Coughing

● Itchy and dry eyes

● Skin rash or blisters

● Running nose

● Shortness of breath

● Stomach cramps, diarrhea and abdominal pain.

Always buy high quality CBD products. There are a lot of CBD products in the market now, but what is the difference between high quality CBD and low quality CBD? Here's some suggestion on what to look for the next time you want to buy CBD products:

● Ingredients should be listed in the packaging to help you decide whether the product is right for you or not.

● Potency matters. If you are a causal or just starting out with CBD you may want to choose products with a lower or medium potency to ease your way to cbd. For people who have chronic pain or chronic sleep disorders perhaps choosing a higher potency CBD product would be more suitable.

● Lab tested. Every high quality and trusted CBD product should come with test lab results or Certificate of Analysis from reputable third-party lab to guarantee that the product is free from harmful chemicals and is safe for consumption.

● There should be instructions on how to use the products and recommendations provide in the packaging.

Now remember to start with low dosage first and increase the amount once your body is used to CBD. If you notice any irregularities after using CBD perhaps consider stopping or contact the maker of the CBD product for advice on the product.

Be patient with CBD and allow your body to get used to CBD first.

For new CBD users it's best to start with a CBD product with medium to stanard amount of CBD potency. Choose products that are made from CBD Isolate. Which is pure CBD and doesn't contain any THC. Ideal for people who are concern about the psychoactive properties that comes with THC. Mellow CBD Oil is made from 900 mg CBD in a 30 ml bottle. Available in Natural and Orange. Mellow CBD Oil is great for beginners or causal issues. A lot of our regular customers prefer to stick with our CBD Isolate options as they can appreciate the medicinal properties provided by CBD and continue to spend their day worry free.

Mellow Full Spectrum CBD Oil is our higher potency CBD option. It comes with 1,800 mg of CBD and other cannabinoids like THC. It also contains terpenes and flavonoids. Full spectrum is ideal for seasoned users and for people that are used to high levels of CBD.

Our CBD-infused topical comes with a very pleasant vanilla scent and carefully picked up ingredients to help enhance relaxation, reduce stress and anxiety while at the same reduce pain, muscle pain and soreness.
