Migraine and CBD

According to the Mayo Clinic:   migraine is a headache that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head. It's often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine attacks can last for hours to days, and the pain can be so severe that it interferes with your daily activities.

Migraine is a very common health condition and can happen to anyone.  For some Migraine becomes dormant after sometime while for some they may have to live with migraine for the majority of their life.  Migraine affects around 1 in every 5 women and around 1 in every 15 men. The cause of migraine is unknown.

Scientists explains that migraine occurs due to changes in the hormones, chemicals, nerves and blood vessels in your brain.  They also claim that migraine can be heredity too.  The symptoms includes severe headaches, feeling ill and weak, diarrhea and nausea, poor concentration, increased sensitivity to lights and sound, hot and cold sensation and aura.

Migraine should not be taken lightly.  Migraine headaches is relentless and this type of chronic pain can alter one’s ability to have a normal and productivity life.  Not only can migraine cause health damage, but it very much can leave patients with depression and anxiety.

The most common remedy for migraine is painkillers to help reduce headaches and prevent them from happening again.  Traditional painkillers does not always work and they do come with a lot of side effects.  People with severe migraines become experts in pain killers so the next time you meet someone suffering from migraines then let them know the good news of CBD.  CBD can help with migraine.  According to Forbes Magazine in a recent study 86% of test subjects have reported that there were decreased in headaches after using CBD oil for a 30 day trail period.  Some research claim that migraine sufferers report more relief from pain from cannabis than they do from prescription drugs.

There are roughly around a billion people suffering from migraine today and more research is needed to be made, but what we know of CBD now is very promising.  CBD has many healing properties and some of them include pain relief and anti-inflammation.  Both very essential in dealing with migraine.

CBD are used to help with anxiety, depression, migraine, nausea, seizures, inflammation, pain, sleep, psychosis, and inflammatory bowel disease.  There are three main types of

CBD Oil available in the market today: CBD Isolate, Full-Spectrum CBD and Broad-Spectrum CBD.  CBD Isolate is pure CBD and THC free and often mixed with MCT Oil to guarantee fast delivery to your body.  Full-Spectrum CBD is CBD mixed with THC and other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant while Broad-Spectrum CBD is similar to Full-Spectrum except it does not include THC.  What is right for you depends on what you are looking for.

Other things you should consider before buying your next CBD product.  Check for your local CBD laws, understand the ingredients, making sure that it is safe and organic.  If possible ask for lab test results and COA.  It is recommended that you consult your doctor before using CBD for your migraine.  Discuss the options and understand the side effects.  Get information on which product is best for you and the right amount of dosage.  For example, at Mellow Organic CBD Oil we recommend that you start with 0.5ml before bedtime for the first 3 days to get your body used to CBD.  Then you can move on to 0.5ml twice a day and add 0.5ml during migraine attack.  How much you need is totally up to each individual.  Experimenting with dosage is okay and necessary to find the right dosage for you.  Not only will you be relief from migraine headaches but you will get to rest and sleep better as well. We would like for you to try our Mellow Organic CBD oil.  We have two flavors to choose from Natural and Orange.
