CBD For Heart Disease

There are evidence to show that CBD may have therapeutic benefits for heart disease.  CBD could help with blood pressure, inflammation in the heart and stroke.  However, more studies are needed for us to realize the full potential of CBD, but as of now everything looks good for CBD.  We are in no way a medical expert.  We are just sharing information so readers should use their own discretion.

Cannabidiol or CBD is one of the 100s cannabinoids found the cannabis plant.  CBD is known to potentially carry with it numerous health benefits to improve both your body and mind.  CBD has no psychoactive effects so you won't experience any intoxication.  CBD has an entourage effect which when used will help your body to find a good balance.  A good example of high quality and lab tested CBD products is Mellow Organic.  Mellow Organic offers 2 CBD oil options: Mellow CBD Oil is made from 900mg of CBD Isolate which contains pure CBD and no other components from the cannabis plant.  We also have Mellow Full Spectrum CBD Oil for those looking for a stronger potency option with 1,800 mg of CBD with THC and other cannabinoids from the cannabis plant then this is what you are looking for.  We are also proud to introduce our CBD topical option, Mellow CBD Soothing Balm that comes with a very calming and pleasant vanilla scent and high quality ingredients.

Back to how CBD can help health disease.  Remember if you are currently seeing a doctor or planning to get a medical advise from a healthcare professional, do ask them about the option of adding CBD to your daily routine.

High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure is the leading cause of heart disease like hypertensive heart disease.  Hypertensive heart disease is caused by high blood pressure which could result in heart failure, thickening of heart muscle, coronary artery disease among other heart issues which could lead to death if not treated.  Research has suggested that CBD can lessen the spike of blood pressure.  Using CBD regularly can help to regulate your blood pressure.  Stress and anxiety is one of the main cause of high blood pressure and CBD is known for its ability to reduce and manage stress and anxiety.  The byproduct of such benefit will directly help your heart.

A study in 2009, lab mice were subjected to a high stress environment which raised their blood pressure along with their heart beat, but when given a dose of CBD it lowered both the BP and heart rate.  In 2017, human test subjects were put under stressful experiences, but those that were given a dose of CBD were able to lower their blood pressure more than those that were given placebo.

Stroke

Heart disease increases the chances of stroke.  When the heart isn't working properly more oftenly it will create blood clots in the blood vessel. When the blood vessels in your brain get blocked by blood clot it  cuts off blood flow and causes stroke or better known as Ischemic stroke.  Symptoms of Ischemic stroke include confusion, numbness on one side of the body, trouble conversing, lack of balance.

A report in 2010 showed that CBD may help protect stroke patients from brain damage and also help boost recovery for brain functions. In 2017, researchers reported that CBD can increase blood flow during stroke.  However, more research and information is needed on the effects of CBD in humans.

Inflammation in the heart

Inflammation is part of the process that leads to heart disease which includes coronary heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke.  Studies have shown that CBD has anti-inflammation properties which can help with inflammation in the heart.  There are a various factors that cause inflammation in the heart such as: diet, smoking, infections, autoimmune diseases and lifestyle.  When inflammation happens in the heart it can lead to heart disease or heart failure.

CBD interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system.  The endocannabinoid system is responsible for regulating inflammation but binding with receptors all over your body.  CBD also has antioxidants effects which can help protect the heart from stress and other damage.

Please note that side effects like diarrhea, dizziness or dry mouth may occur.  CBD also may interact and interfere with your other medications.  CBD should not be used as a replacement medication and if you have a heart condition please consult with your health care provider first.  For more information on our CBD products and how to use our products please feel free to visit https://www.melloworganic.com/
